Presentation
rooms represent the standard meeting room you would find in most
blue chip companies. The equipment in this type of room would be
based around a ceiling mounted data
projector or Plasma
screen, with cables run to a wall or floor plate for connectivity
to laptop PC's and video quipment.
The projectors are invariably XGA
resolution of between 1000 and 2500 ansi
lumen, such as the Epson EMP
820, Sony PX11
or Sony PX15,
and the Plasma screen should be XGA resolution such as the Fujitsu
PDS 4241 42" plasma or the Pioneer
PDP504 50" plasma monitor.
These
rooms will be equipped with rail system, or a wall or ceiling mounted
electric screen for the projection surface. However these rooms
may also incorporate Smart
board technology, which gives you an interactive whiteboard
surface for notes that can be saved direct to PC, or you can use
the board as a communication devise (with a PC and projector set
up) - sharing information over the LAN, WAN or Internet. The Smartboard
Matisse system which is a touch screen overlay for Plasma screens,
offers equivalent connectivity.
For
multimedia presentations, video can be installed using domestic
or industrial video recorders or DVD players. An amplifier would
be added to the system with a pair of good quality wall mounted
speakers for video and PC audio. This equipment can either be rack
mounted of hidden in a credenza type furniture unit with in the
room.
