Boardroom
audio visual presentation systems incorporate state of the art equipment
to allow video
and audio
conferencing, front or rear projection and multimedia facilities
all controlled via a Crestron touch screen panel. The screen surface
may either be front or rear projection, but in this environment
rear projection is favourable as all equipment can be hidden out
of site.
Many
boardrooms use dual screens so that line of site is not affected,
and different information can be displayed such as near and far
end video when operating the video conference system such as the
Polyspan
MP. To operate dual screens a matrix switcher is required to
route all the sources through to the two display devises - projection,
such as the Epson EMP
8300 or Plasma, such as the Pioneer PDP504.
Some boardrooms may use a central projection screen with one or
two secondary Plasma monitors.
In
this environment you need to convert everything into a data or video
format and eliminate the need for front projection devices such
as OHP's. They can be replaced by the new range of Visualisers
such as the Samsung SVP
6000.
Audio
and video conferencing are becoming more important as groups of
people need to hear and be heard using multi location telephone
calls. Incorporating audio conferencing into a room can be difficult
due to the feedback possibilities in most rooms. Therefore automatic
mixers with echo cancellation such as the Gentner
AP800 are required, and can be interfaced with a video conferencing
system such as the Polyspan
or Picturetel
systems listed in our product area. Desk mounted microphones are
preferred along with ceiling mounted speakers for sound distribution.
The
usual multimedia requirements are offered in this environment such
as video, DVD, TV, programme sound and CD sources. These are all
controlled via a colour touch screen panel such as the Crestron
STX
3500 C. Lighting, curtains and even air conditioning units can
be interfaced with this Crestron system.
