“Insight worked with our NYC AV partner throughout the delivery process so that we had the same look and feel in both our offices. The aesthetics were vitally important and the meeting rooms look smart and “corporate’! The rooms are mostly used for Zoom based meetings and the systems running the video conferencing work very well. We are very happy with the outcome!”

IT Manager - Private Equity Firm

The Client

The client is a private equity firm headquartered in London and New York.

The Brief

This was a £350,000 project covering a fit out at 1 St James Market in London. The system was built on a central Crestron switch with Crestron control and Poly video conferencing. All the large rooms were dual screen setups with control and they work within the Zoom application. The brief was to have a centralised rack feeding all meeting rooms with video to and from with centralised amplification driving ceiling speakers in each meeting room and TV distribution.

The equipment chosen had to blend in with the décor and fit out design so aesthetics were vitally important in terms of the project delivery.

Recent uplifts to the system have enhanced the Zoom usage in each space (changing from Poly Group series to G7500) and QSC and Shure DSP’s have been added to the Poly Sound Structure kit inherited from a previous office - to balance the audio and output USB.

The system incorporates ceiling microphones from Shure and QSC speaker. Each space has an Evoko room booking panel.

The Solution

A centralised rack system was installed and utilising two 44U free standing racks, all centralised equipment was mounted and wired in using standard rack building methods.

With larger meeting rooms  the client utilised dual screen technology. Within the room the microphones were ceiling mounted (Shure MXA 910) as were the directional ceiling speakers. The Crestron control system was utilised to set the room up and switch the system on. Room lights and electronic blinds were installed and integrated. Zoom app is run from an iPad.

The utilisation of these equipment items gives the rooms a clean and unfussy feel and the AV is hidden.
